Singer's Tea
This tea blend was made to help soothe and activate the throat and throat muscles for the ultimate relief for singers or if you just came back from a concert or major sporting event. This blend for voices that carry a strong song or story with the incorporation of marshmallow root that soothes the throat lining and chamomile flowers that help to relax the throat muscles.
Ingredients: Marshmallow root, Sage leaf, Echinacea purpurea, Licorice root, Chamomile, Slippery elm
Herbal Benefit Breakdown:
Marshmallow root: This gentle, mucilaginous herb is a throat's best friend. It coats and soothes the mucous membranes lining the throat, reducing irritation and dryness so the voice can flow freely and without strain.
Sage Leaf: A powerful herb with antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties, sage has long been used to calm sore, inflamed throats. It helps fight off the bacteria and irritants that can leave the voice feeling raw and worn.
Echinacea Purpurea: One of the most well-known immune-boosting herbs in Western herbalism, echinacea stimulates the body's natural defenses and helps reduce the severity and duration of throat infections.
Licorice Root: A deeply soothing and anti-inflammatory herb, licorice root helps relieve throat irritation and supports the respiratory tract. Like marshmallow, it carries demulcent properties — meaning it softens and protects inflamed tissue.
Chamomile: This herb reduces inflammation internally and externally through its special ability to relax muscles throughout the body. For singers, it helps ease tension in the throat and jaw while calming pre-performance nerves.
Slippery elm: Used for centuries by indigenous peoples of North America, slippery elm forms a soothing, gel-like coating along the throat and vocal cords. It is one of the most effective herbs for protecting the voice under heavy use.
Directions: Add one tea bag to hot water/tea pot. Cover and let steep for up to 20 min.
Quantity: 10 bags
